Biography

Dr. Vildan Manzo is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology. Her area of expertise includes fine-needle aspiration cytology and surgical pathology of head and neck, breast, gastrointestinal and genitourinary tract. She trained in anatomic and clinical pathology at North Shore University Hospital affiliated with Cornell University Medical College and also at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in New York City. She had her cytopathology training at North Shore University Hospital, Saint Vincent’s Hospital, and at New York Hospital. She is presently working in conjunction with radiologists performing fine-needle aspiration biopsies. Prior to this, she worked as a Medical Director and Laboratory Director in offices that specialized in gastrointestinal pathology in New York City. After her residency, she has worked as an assistant professor of pathology at New York Medical College, Lincoln Campus. Prior to her pathology training, she worked in New York Hospital as a research assistant focusing on Cerebrospinal Fluid Absorptive Pathways, Hydrocephalus, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and CSF flow and production. Dr. Manzo has completed her Medical school training in Aegean (Ege) University Medical School in Turkey. She has given various lectures and conferences in pathology throughout her career. She is also an avid athlete and frequently competes in sporting events. Dr. Manzo is an active member of CAP and the New York Pathological Society.
