Biography
CBLPath, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice, is privileged to include Jiyi Wang, M.D., as a part of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Wang is a double board-certified pathologist with professional medical and research experience. He has special interest in gastrointestinal pathology and hematopathology.
Dr. Wang earned his medical degree from Henan Medical University in Henan, People’s Republic of China, where he then completed his medical residency. He graduated with a master’s degree from Peking Union Medical College, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences in Beijing, where he also completed a fellowship in radiation and molecular oncology. He completed a clinical genetics fellowship at the New England Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine. He served his pathology residency at University Hospital of the State University of New York at Stony Brook. This was followed by a fellowship in hematology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, Massachusetts, and a gastrointestinal pathology fellowship at Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University, in Providence, Rhode Island.
Dr. Wang held the position of scientific director of the molecular cytogenetics core facilities while at the New England Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine.
Dr. Wang has several peer-reviewed publications on pathology, genetics, and molecular diagnostics. He is a frequent presenter at national and international forums.
Dr. Wang is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and a member of the American Society of Hematology and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
Dr. Wang holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and hematopathology by the American Board of Pathology.
