Lidiya Lund, MD, PHD, FCAP
Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
CBLPath, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice, is pleased to include Lidiya Lund, M.D., Ph.D., F.C.A.P., as part of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Lund is a board-certified pathologist who specializes in breast pathology. She is a valuable asset to the pathology team and brings a wealth of knowledge to her position.
Dr. Lund graduated with her medical and doctorate degrees from Lviv National Medical University in Lviv, Ukraine. After moving to the United States, she completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at St. Luke’s— Roosevelt Hospital Center, University Hospitals of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, New York. She then underwent a surgical pathology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Dr. Lund has more than 25 years of experience in general pathology, and in breast pathology specifically. Her career started following the attainment of her degrees in Ukraine, where she was an associate professor in the Department of Pathology at the Lviv National Medical University. While there, she was granted several honors for her scientific accomplishments, authored a monograph and published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals. After undergoing her residency and fellowship in the U.S., she was hired as an attending pathologist at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She then joined the pathology department at St. Luke’s—Roosevelt Hospital Center. She began as an associate attending pathologist and pathology consultant for the Continuum Hospitals in New York before being promoted to director of anatomic pathology at Roosevelt Hospital.
After joining CBLPath in 2006, Dr. Lund and her colleagues succeeded in expanding the breast pathology service, creating a powerhouse of diagnostic excellence and expertise. With more than 30,000 breast specimen accessions per year, CBLPath’s breast pathology group has become one of the largest breast pathology specialized departments in the United States. As an integral part of the Anatomic Pathology Division of Sonic Healthcare USA, Dr. Lund and her colleagues have established a reliable pathology partner for breast radiology practices, breast imaging centers, and breast surgery centers throughout the U.S.
Dr. Lund has full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
